On November 4, 2015, the Association of Fundraising Professionals will present awards in recognition of National Philanthropy Day. National Philanthropy Day is the special day set aside to recognize and pay tribute to the great contributions that philanthropy—and those people active in the philanthropic community—have made to our lives, our communities and our world.
The Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) represents 30,000 fundraisers in approximately 230 chapters throughout the world.

The Outstanding Volunteer Association Award is presented to an association of people who make a difference in our community through their voluntarism and philanthropy. This year’s recipient was nominated because of their countless hours of volunteer service and community programs for women and girls, scholarships to girls and partnerships with other community organizations. Cher’s Sisters Only Club is this year’s recipient of the Outstanding Volunteer Association Award.
